SCHENECTADY, NY — Rivers Casino & Resort is taking its first-ever New Year’s Eve celebration to the highest level, extending one of the biggest party nights of the year into a multi-night extravaganza for what promises to be the best two nights of entertainment and revelry in Schenectady history. Champagne bottles will pop and confetti will drop as Rivers throws THE party of the New Year to welcome in 2018!

World Famous Headliners

The party starts in the Event Center on December 30^th when Rivers’ hosts world-renowned impressionist and Fox NFL Sunday and MADtv alum Frank Caliendo. The good times keep rolling when the Capital Region’s best New Year’s Eve entertainment comes to Schenectady with music from legendary performers The Commodores.

On Saturday Night, December 30, Frank Caliendo will take the stage at 8 p.m.; doors open at 7 p.m. Caliendo has been part of national television shows like “MADtv,” “Fox NFL Sunday” and on his own TBS show, “Frank TV.” Best known for his impressions, Caliendo has delighted audiences from Las Vegas to New York, including the “Late Show,” the “Late Show with David Letterman,” “Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn,” “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” and “Late Night with Conan O’Brien.” Tickets range from $35 – $60, and hotel packages for the show and stay at The Landing Hotel are available.

The Commodores will bring their world-famous discography, including classics such as “Brick House” “Easy” and “Three Times a Lady” to the Rivers Casino & Resort Event Center at 11 p.m. on December 31. Doors open at 10 p.m. Tickets are $120, $100 or $60. Hotel packages for The Commodores show and stay at The Landing Hotel start at $649.

Dining Experiences for All Tastes

Dukes Chophouse is ready to wow guests with first-class service and special menu items for what is expected to be a sell-out evening. Dinner times are 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. (last seating at 10 p.m.) The entire night will be a reservations-only affair with bookings exclusively available on Open Table.

VanSlyck’s will accommodate reserved tables with beverage servers ($20 through the Rivers Call Center) and live entertainment. Rock out from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m with Evolution X, and then bring on the funk with Funk Evolution from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. The jumbo screen will help countdown the New Year’s clock as guests shoot off confetti cannons at midnight.

Guests can also enjoy casual fare at Rivers’ Marketplace off the casino floor – Mian, Flipt, Johnny’s, and Villa Italia are all offering 2018 celebration menus.
